Richard Swift, former keyboardist for Starflyer 59, died today in Tacoma, Washington. The news was confirmed in a post on his official Facebook page, saying simply, "And all the angels sing 'Que Sera Sera' Richard Ochoa Swift March 16, 1977 July 3, 2018."
Earlier in the summer, Swift was hospitalized due to a "serious medical condition," according to another post on social media, asking for fan support.
Swift, age 41, was best known as a member of independent rockers The Black Keys and The Arcs, but had influence on the Christian indie rock community as well.
In addition to being the keyboardist for Starflyer 59, a Christian alternative rock band on their 2003 album, Old, Swift also played guitars for Kevin Max on his second solo project, The Imposter.
