The International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), one of the most impactful worship movements today, is celebrating 20 years of day and night prayer with worship. IHOPKC's prayer room began in Kansas City, MO on May 7, 1999 and expanded to 24 hours a day, seven days a week on September 19, 1999.
IHOPKC draws inspiration from biblical accounts of prayer with worship the Tabernacle of David, where King David employed singers and musicians in the work of ministering to God and leading the people in praise of God, and the throne room described in Revelation 4-5 where God is worshipped day and night as the prayers of the saints rise to His throne like incense.[…] Source: Christian Music
